After failing to live up to his potential as an NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick was desperate for a job. He eventually got hired by Nike to be something of a human mannequin. They dressed him in their brand and sent him out back into the NFL to kneel on the sidelines. Drawing attention to himself (and Nike by proxy) while pretending to stand for something. It is always the same story. He usually chimes in to talk about the latest black martyrs, but now he’s sloppily working his way through the history books.

Kaepernick: From C- Quarterback To A+ Social Media Influencer

Nike Social Media Influencer: Colin Kaepernick

He can’t speak intelligently on issues of race. Nor does he have any knowledge of police brutality anywhere in the country. Kaepernick is not an expert on the issues. He isn’t even a novice. It is astonishing to me that anybody even covers this kind of thing.

He’s an actor.

A model.

It’s all an act. An ad – for Nike.

He has a 7 year contract with them that started in 2018 for $126,000,000.

You are going to see this guy pretend to know what he’s talking about until at least 2025 unless people wake up and start calling him out. That would mean forcing him to discuss his ideas in a conversation with some opposition. A debate for example.

Let him try to defend any of his claims, and force him to learn.

CNN & MSM Coverage Of Kaepernick’s Latest Stunt Was Lame, As Usual

Colin Kapernick, Nike Social Media Influencer

CNN reported on his comment about Mumia Abu-Jamal.

It was basically just a gift-wrapped press release with his statements in it.

These are the quotes with some context:

“When I was invited to speak on behalf of Mumia, one of the first things that came to mind was has been how long he’s been in prison,” even though Kaepernick only recently learned about this situation.

Kaepernick asked, “How many years of his life has been stolen away from him, his community and his loved ones? Mumia has been in prison longer than I’ve been alive.”

Kaep described Mumia’s prison time as a, “second by second assault on his soul.”

“Today we’re living through a moment where it’s acceptable to paint ‘end racism now’ in front of the Philadelphia Police Department’s 26th district headquarters, and yet a political prisoner who has since the age of 14 dedicated his life to fighting against racism, continues to be caged and lives his life on a slow death row,” Kaepernick said.

Kaepernick goes on further to say, “We’re in the midst of a movement that says Black Lives Matter. And if that’s truly the case, then it means that Mumia’s life and legacy must matter.” Also, Kaepernick claimed that he believed Mumia had been “framed” but provides no evidence. That’s because Kaepernick is ignorant.

Greta Thunberg is a more believable social justice leader.

Somebody Tell Kaep To Wise Up If He’s Going To Play A Civil Rights Hero Who Actually Matters

Kaepernick doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about when it comes to police brutality. He certainly doesn’t know anything about Philadelphia crime, politics, or the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal. I usually keep relatively quiet when he does this kind of thing, but now that he’s got Philly in his mouth, I had to say something.

Nike is entitled to hire former athletes to be models and social media influencers. There’s nothing wrong with that. They are free to produce commercials putting him next to LeBron James and Serena Williams (who are actually living athletic legends) as well. The public can continue to play along with this performative politics garbage, but you shouldn’t.
